Daiso Makeup Review : Hanataka Powder (Highlighter)

Hey guys!

I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while but I wasn't buying any new makeup lately...

But I finally bought a new makeup and tried it for about a good 2 weeks and have a very solid review on it.

The product that I'm reviewing today is, again, from Daiso. (I know I do Daiso a lot but it's so affordable I can't help myself get curious about the quality).
In case you don't know what Daiso is, it's a $2 shop which originates in Japan. There are many in Singapore too (ION, Plaza Singapura...etc).
It sells everything from stationaries, lawn work products, food, party items, paint and of course makeup!

I'm on a little mission to find a great product from Daiso!

So the product I'm reviewing is a highlighter. Because Daiso carries Japanese products and highlighters aren't very popular there like it is in the western trend, they only had one type.

It's called "HANATAKA POWDER" by Ellefar. Which means "high-nose powder".

This is what the actual product looks like. (It's a loose powder)

It's labelled as a nose highlighting powder but you can use it anywhere on your face... or even your body!

They had two colors and I picked up the pearl pink one because I didn't want a highlighter too intense. But to be honest, you can't see the pinky-ness on your face or in the swatch. It's actually quite white.

Here's the swatch.

When I first swatched it on my hand, I didn't think I would like it. It seemed like there were a lot of glitter bits in it and didn't look very pigmented. But when I tried it on my face, I immediately changed my mind.

It is still a little bit glittery but the white-ness in the product is so beautiful. It makes your skin glow. You can really build it up and make it intense or keep it natural. It looked so gorgeous on the nose, but I really liked it on the cheekbones. It's also very blend-able.

When it's on the cheekbones, it doesn't look as glittery as it does on the nose. I found out that the more you concentrate the product, the glittery it gets and that's why it looked better on the cheecks. Also, the glitter goes away in about hour but the glow will still be there. It really reflects light, especially in photos. Even without flash. And it also wears for a long time. It lasts around 6 to 7 hours.

Overall, I really do enjoy this product. I think you should definitely give it a go. If you're looking for a good highlighter that's super affordable, go for it. It's great!
Or if you love makeup like I do, I definitely recommend it!

I don't regret buying this product at al.
